PIXEL PROMO is a studio that carries Japanese horror to the world by digital means. We begin with games, but games are not the destination. The worlds and characters born in Fortnite (UEFN) are built to travel — into film, merchandise and other media.

We are operated by Tokyo Defense Co., Ltd., founded in Shinagawa, Tokyo in 1984. PIXEL PROMO started as an internal venture inside a company that has run a real estate business for more than forty years.

We chose horror because Japanese horror occupies a place of its own. It does not startle you with volume; it unsettles you with quiet and presence. That instinct is a delicate thing to carry across a border, so we rebuild it out of UEFN spatial design, fully voiced Japanese performance and branching stories — something anyone in the world can walk into themselves. Today 51.7% of all playtime comes from outside Japan.

Backed by a company with four decades of trading history, we have chosen to grow our own IP slowly rather than take short-term contract work.
